Please mark your calendar! Bring your family & cooler to our Clan Tent and enjoy our hospitality!! We hope to see you at one or more of these events this coming Spring and Summer. Also, this is the year for our Annual General Meeting. The event takes place in Denver Colorado on August 9th to the 12th. Check the USA Clan magazine for details. Judy Wisehart, the South West Region V.P. has planned an interesting agenda. If you need more information her e-mail is rexwisehart@earthlink.net
As always, we are grateful for your participation. Clan MacLeod thanks all those who renew their memberships so that we may continue to be represented at the numerous Highland Games throughout the Great Lakes Region and the U.S.. Membership dues allows us to promote our Scottish heritage through dancing and piping awards. The Dunvegan Foundation, our tax deductible organization, also promotes and supports Scottish activities through scholarships and grants. Wooster College in Ohio received a grant to support their MacLeod tartan clad band and orchestra.
On a high note, we must report the birth of Isabella Viola McLeod born on February 27th to Patrick and Erica our Michigan Commissioners. Please stop by and say hello to them at Alma or Livonia and to our newest member Isabella!!
Finally, on a sad note, we must announce the death of Chief John MacLeod of MacLeod in February. Those of us in the Great Lakes Region were fortunate to meet him when he came to our NAG in Chicago in 2004. He was always a pleasure to meet and an enthusiastic leader of the Clan. He will be truly missed. His son, Hugh becomes the 30th Chief of Clan MacLeod.
Hold Fast
