Teenage Alcoholism – Contribution Elements and Why it is Rampant Between Young adults

The amount of teenagers involved with the excess consumption of alcohol is growing.

Parents are already alerted with the rampant case of adolescent alcoholism. Although the media and actors can be partly blamed for the prevalence of adolescent alcoholism (take the instances of Lindsay Lohan, Britney Spears, Paris Hilton), many different elements can also be considered as to why adolescent alcoholism is now a societal disorder.

One of the most frequent lines that teens say is”but everyone’s doing it!” Parents hear those words every so often and teens frequently blurt it from their mouth as if they were just saying”yeah” or”okay”. Their desire to belong to a specific group or be accepted by their friends and classmates is a need that they must meet – even though it requires doing some things that are already way out of line.

Another factor that contributes teenagers to alcoholism is their fascination. Maybe their very first consumption of alcohol is simply to satisfy their interest. The sad thing is that alcohol may be addictive and if teenagers get hooked, it’s like there’s no stopping them.

Teenage social life is usually composed of house parties, dates, beach parties, sleepovers, etc.. House parties are especially dangerous, particularly if there’s no adult or parent around to oversee and monitor (which is largely the situation nowadays since most teens would demand that their parents escape from the scene when they’re hosting a party).

Rye vodka have their very first glass or bottle of alcohol as a result of peer pressure. As they don’t want to be known as a”kill joy” or even a”goody two shoes,” most teenagers do succumb to the offers of their friends to drink or taste alcohol.

Troubled teenagers also use alcohol as a means to forget their troubles and emotional distress in lifestyle. Although drinking alcohol may be a somewhat greater escape than committing suicide, at the long term, too much intake of alcohol can be detrimental to health, also! Let’s just say that teens who are based on alcohol intake as their escape to their worldly problems are”killing themselves softly.”

Perhaps one of the reasons why alcoholism is quite rampant among teens is due to the fact that it is extremely easy for an underage teen to buy alcohol. Although it is enforced in most of the legislation all over the world that adolescents under the age of 18 years old are not allowed to buy alcoholic beverages, many teenagers still get away with it. Some clerks and grandparents are too idle or too lenient to care whether the teenager is the suitable age or not.

To prevent teenage alcoholism, parents, teachers and the authorities must go hand in hand in attempting to provide”cool” and healthy consequences for teens so that they won’t fall into the enticing traps of alcoholic substances. One popular”wholesome diversion” is sports. Local community groups in addition to academic institutions are great methods to lure teenagers to become active and energetic in healthy and productive physical pursuits.

Teenagers must be given opportunities to express themselves and cultivate their hidden talents so they can realize that there are far more exciting ways to invest their life rather than waste it on life-threatening drinking sprees.
